Everything you need to know about learning Japanese with us in Malaysia
Our Japanese Fundamentals course is designed for complete beginners. We start with hiragana and katakana scripts, then move into basic grammar and everyday phrases you can actually use. Most students feel comfortable introducing themselves and ordering at a restaurant after just 4-6 weeks.
We recommend 3-4 hours per week for steady progress. This typically breaks down to 2 hours of class time plus 1-2 hours of practice at home. If you’re more committed, you’ll see faster results—many of our working professionals manage 5-6 hours weekly and reach conversational basics in 3 months.
Culture is woven throughout everything we teach. You’ll learn about Japanese etiquette, business customs, seasonal celebrations, and why certain expressions matter in context. Language without culture is just memorization—we make sure you understand the mindset behind the words.
We offer both. Our in-person classes run in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya, while online sessions give you flexibility if you’re based elsewhere in Malaysia or prefer learning from home. Many students actually mix both—attending class once a week and doing practice sessions online.
Fundamentals covers everyday survival Japanese—ordering food, asking directions, casual conversations. Business Japanese dives into formal communication, corporate etiquette, email writing, and industry vocabulary. If you’re learning for a job with Japanese clients or partners, Business Japanese is your path.
Yes. If you’re not satisfied within the first 2 weeks, we’ll give you a full refund. We’re confident in what we teach, but we also understand that fit matters. No questions asked.
